Although wikis are designed with user contributions in mind, there are times when it is desirable that a wiki page not be edited. An example for the Eckerd College Faculty Wiki might be the protection of a page describing a course's grading policy.

Here is a fast way to protect a page:

  1. Log in (upper right).
  2. Go to the page you want to protect from student edits.
  3. Hit the "protect" tab at the top.
  4. Click on "professors only", and then click on the "confirm" button.

Your page will then be protected.
