Music Fundamentals is a course in music reading, writing, and basic performing. At the completion of this course you should be prepared to take Music Theory I, which is offerred during spring semester.

The text is Basic Materials in Music Theory: A Programmed Course by Paul Harder and Greg Steinke, published by Pearson Prentice Hall, Eleventh Edition.

You are responsible for having music manuscript paper of some kind for in-class work and homework. The bookstore carries music manuscript paper. Most of the assignments don't require a full sheet, so you can economize by tearing sheets in half when you turn in assignments.
