• Written Assignments
  Pre-class warmups on the web are due at 9:30 every morning. The website can be found off of the Cyber Lyceum. The site is

  These warmup questions must be answered in depth. A simple sentence answer will not suffice, and spelling and grammar problems should not obfuscate the content of your answer. Your assignment is complete when the questions are answered satisfactory. I will be using these questions as a basis for discussion in class so please give them your best effort.

  The Wiki blog is a post-class "electronic journal" which can be used to follow up ideas that were developed in class but were not communicated. The blog can be used with less structure than the pre-class warmups and can follow a direction of its own within reason. Please use this in a respectable, mature manner by being considerate to your class-mates. The blog will not be required often but can be used to make up deficiencies in your pre-class warmups and in-class participation. The site is

• Attendance
  Attendance is expected. Unexcused absences and lateness will affect your grade. Every unexcused absence will take 5% off your attendence grade, and more then 6 unexcused absences will result in automatic failure of the course. If you are to miss a class for any reason it is your responsibility to inform me of the reason for your absence before the class begins. Attendance at the Plenary Lectures are required. I will collect discussion questions after each lecture outside the building.

  All students are expected to uphold the Eckerd Honor Code:
