FDF 5 - Visual Arts Computing: Project 3 Due Thursday, August 26 Experiment with the creation of new colors by combining those provided in the watercolor paint sets you are using. Create a conventional color wheel with twelve patches of color similar to the one on page 105 in A World of Art. Your color wheel should contain the three primary colors, the three secondary colors and one color between each of the pairs of adjacent primaries and secondaries. Project 3: watercolor painting Create a watercolor painting of the flower arrangement displayed in class. Turn in your completed painting. FDF 5 - Visual Arts Computing: Project 4 Due Thursday, August 26 Create an "electronic" color wheel with twelve patches of color, similar to the one on page 105 in A World of Art. (The actual colors and placement of colors may be quite different than the one in the book). Your color wheel should contain the three additive primary colors, the three additive secondary colors and one color between each of the pairs of adjacent primaries and secondaries. Save the image in jpeg format as colorwheel.jpg on your acasun account. Specifically, place it in the directory named public_html. Create a second image which demonstrates that you have experimented with various brush styles, thicknesses and paint properties. Begin by drawing a large, dark blue rectangle which covers the top third of the canvas. Draw a light blue rectangle which covers the middle third of the canvas. Now select a warm color of your choice from the "swatches" palette. Make a sequence of at least thirty brush strokes, which extend from the top of the canvas to the bottom, passing through the two filled rectangles. Each brush stroke should demonstrate a different brush property. You may select different options from the menu under the "normal" label in the "paintbrush options" palette. Also, experiment with the "fade" option, the "wet edges" option and the opacity level. Save the image in jpeg format as brushes.jpg on your acasun account in the directory named public_html. Project 4: computer painting Convert the watercolor painting from Project 3 into a digital painting. Save your final image to your acasun account in jpeg format as Project4.jpg.
