The Faculty Coordinating Committee has created this site to keep you updated on the progress being made by Eckerd's administration, staff, and faculty to implement  recommendations of the SELF STUDY 2000.  The progress report is presented in the same order as listed on pages 44-52 of the SELF STUDY (listed according to which committee has primary responsibility for implementation).

Major progress, as of 98-99 all equipment have Pentium processors and connected to the network. ITS assessing faculty needs

April, 2002 David Pawlowski presented a plan (approved by CPG) entitled "Implementation of Technology Replacement and Enhancement" to the Executive staff. Funding is currently not available for implementation. However, new computers are
being requested and could be funded via the Capital Equipment budget.

ITS assessing needs of the faculty for training, held several workshops, created the faculty technology lab

Two new ITS faculty support positions have been created. Due to the varied levels of
technological expertise and computer hardware of each faculty member, ITS
prefers to provide one-on-one training to the faculty. Group training does have an advantage, though, if one is
introducing new technology for the first time.
